05 BEHINDTHESCENES

Gab and I just had a fantastic exposure experience backstage with the DEW Crew. The amount of equipment they have at their disposal is phenomenal, and the possibilities are endless. Some of the stuff that they use are top-end professional gear, and are suited to high-end productions.

Having to customize our lighting and choose from a myriad of combination, we couldn't get everything done in one night, let alone choreograph the lights for a single song. Ivan was really patient in helping us out, and he gave some valuable ideas for us to use. Being in cooperation with the backstage crew is probably one of the most important but underestimated aspects of any performance. They are the playmakers that make us look good. Invaluable, yet vastly underappreciated.

As for the synchronized graphics, Chee Kong has come up with fabulous work and is ever patient and willing to help us meet what we are looking for. The energy and creativity in his videos, not to mention the painstaking effort in manually drawing every line will give us an extra boost in every song. It's our first ever time using a click track, so we're really hoping to do our part as the band and singers so that we sync with videos glitchlessly.

Hopefully our audi run-through this week will go smoothly as we look to synchorinze mixing the sound, programming the lights and running the video in a single slot. Also, we'll be looking towards the stage layout, and the tedious task of shifting equipment and rewiring everything. It's gonna be a long Sunday!

Nonetheless, the team has never been more excited, and we're pumped up for the event that's only 10 days away! Will be posting up photos of audi rehearsals together with RIC and JI. Let's do this!
